SMBv1 was not enabled on server or on the clients which I've enabled now to test. About half the time, QB will complain that it cannot find the file, even though I can access it via File Explorer. For creating the network drive, I generally use IP rather than hostname, but I've tried both ways. For the network drive, everyone on the LAN has read/write access. All computers are set on Private network with Ethernet. It's logging me into QuickBooks much faster now, but on another computer that I removed BitDefender, it still pretty slow and will not switch from Single User mode to Multi User. I've uninstalled the AntiVirus/Firewall just to see if that fixed any issues. The only thing I can think of was I white-listed the ports in the firewall which drastically sped up QuickBooks for about 2 days then these network issues started arising. I've used that QuickBooks link to try an troubleshoot issues. %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Intuit\Quickbook 2018 Remote address: any computer, same ports as above, IPv4, TCP Local address: server ip, port ra56725-56728, IPv4, TCP
All others settings are default I believe. I've included our custom BitDefender GravityZone firewall settings below. Any help with getting QuickBooks to behave better would be appreciated! QuickBooks Desktop always works on the server without any issues, so I'm hopefully ruling out data corruption. Generally, I can get QuickBooks to find the file by rebooting either the server or the client or both, using File Doctor(but usually does not find anything wrong), and/or remapping the network seems to fix the issue more consistently, although it seems to be another temporary solution. The client will show it can access the files on the server, but when I go to login via QuickBooks, it says it cannot find the file or give Error -6000, -83. Have a great day! All the best.I have mapped a network drive on the LAN to the clients. I want to make sure you're all set, and I'm here if you need further guidance.

Does anyone know how to fix this? This is becoming a crisis as we need to be able to access QB on this computer. I have uninstalled everything I could find that installed this morning but no joy. Looking at the event viewer, right after boot up MSInstaller ran several times. I can open QB from another computer just fine so it isn't the database. This is the main computer that houses the QB database that is used in a multi user environment on a peer to peer network. The splash screen comes up and then it just goes away. Sent the system back to the office this morning, after booting, QB will not open. Ran QB Desktop Premier Contractors Edition 2018 all weekend.
